steffi101-IST-5th november 2009- I enjoyed reading this book. It shows all the pain of the war the Cubans had to go through. I was blown away by the fact that the Cubans lived through 3 complete wars. I don’t think that many of Them had a chance to survive these wars because they lasted more than fifty years. I know that because the main character –Rosa- is young, and wild at the beginning; throughout the book she becomes older and at the end she is old and feeble but still caring for others. After reading this book I realized that I (and other people) should be more like Rosa – care for everybody, even your enemy-.
